O Aereogramme é uma banda originária de Glasgow, Escócia que foi formada por Craig B, ex-membro da banda de krautrock/post-rock Ganger, e Campbell McNeil, que inicialmente visavam um projeto que consistisse de violões e barulhos eletrônicos. Claro que a idéia evoluiu e o Aereogramme tomou uma forma muito mais ampla e bela.
A influência que o Isis exerceu sobre o Aereogramme é evidente, embora o som etéreo, pesado e insano do Isis tenha sido fundido com orquestrações, belas melodias de piano e guitarra, além de vocais inspirados em pérolas da música depressiva como Anathema, U2, My Bloody Valentine e até Tom Waits.
No último trabalho do grupo, com este nome gigantesco, o Aereogramme nos trouxe um álbum mais cadenciado e emocional, bem puxado para os lados do Post-rock e do shoegaze. Indico o álbum para fãs de Isis, The Gathering, Shoegaze em geral e principalmente Anathema.

Reading these kind of posts reminds me of just how technology truly is something we cannot live without in this day and age, and I am fairly confident when I say that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory falls, the possibility of downloading our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could encounter in my lifetime.
